LMP93601EVM Software does not display multiple channel graphical data correctly
I recently purchased and LMP93601EVM board and loaded the user interface software on my Windows 7 64 bit platform. I have attached the board to my existing product which is a NDIR based gas analyzer with a quad thermopile detector. The NDIR technology pulses the IR source on and off to achieve a psuedo sine wave type wave form at 2-4Hz. This product uses a DSP algorithm to process the signal and so needs at least 128 samples to get accurate amplitude data.
The problem I'm having is that I want to experiment with the continuous mode and look at the waveforms when sampling across multiple channels in continuous or one shot mode. I can see the waveform perfectly on the graph tab when only one channel is selected in the configuration. If I select more than one channel in the configuration then the graphical data does not look correct. I'm wondering if there is some sort of software defect that is causing this problem or if there is a problem in the actual device with multiple channels in continuous mode.
The configuration is
Any of these four configurations: One Shot, Ch 1 and Ch 2; One Shot Ch 1, Ch 2, Ch 3; Continuous, Ch 1 and Ch 2; Continuous Ch 1, Ch 2, Ch 3
Enable VCM, 265SPS

LMP93601EVM: I would like to increase the sampling rate
I am working with the LMP93601EVM and the software provided. I was able to save data to a log file from the graph menu but I'm not getting enough samples to put the data through my DSP algorithm. I need more samples to accurately evaluate the noise floor. I'm wondering if there is any way to increase the sampling rate so that I can achieve at least 128 samples in a 2 second time window. That works out to approximately 15 mS sampling period.
If the provided software cannot be configured for a higher sampling rate then I'm wondering if there is any documentation on the LMP93601EVM serial protocol. The MSP430 presents itself to the PC as a COM port. So I could easily write a small program that could talk to the MSP430 using the serial protocol and sample at a faster rate.
Help selecting op-amp for instrumentation amplifier with low phase shift DC-5Khz
I'm doing AC current sensing with a Rogowski Coil. These are great in almost every way except for their output sensitivity: about 460uV per Amp. That's basically in the noise for lower primary currents so before I send this signal across my PCB to the ADC I need to amplify it. My initial thought was to use a simple op amp.
Power supply is +12V.
Gain will be provisioned as 30x.
Fundamental frequency of interest is 60Hz, but I need flat bandwidth reaching up to ~4Khz to measure harmonics in the signal output from the transducer.
Slew rate should be at least 1V/uSec to cover the frequencies of interest (i.e. I don't want to be slew rate limited).
The "killer" requirement is (ideally) NO phase shift within the bandwidth DC-5Khz. I thought it would be a simple matter of selecting an op amp with a sufficiently high GBW and I've found many in the 5Mhz+ region that have a flat phase response to a reasonable fraction of that frequency, but begin with a 90 degree phase shift at DC (or so the graph with open-loop gain and phase vs. frequency shows). That's a non-starter.
So my question:
Can you recommend an op amp that has low (preferably <1 degree) phase shift between DC-5khz?
Differential Amplifier
i am using a voltage divider circuit whose output is given to an differential amplifier. The out put of the amplifier is eventually given to an ADC. i need some suggestion for suitable TI part for the differential amplifier that can be used. i need low cost parts. |

OPA333 alternative
Hi,
Would any one happen to know a good alternative to the OPA333 with similar specs, preferably duel supply 9V and through hole?

Increase current from 10mA / 10V to 5 V / 200mA ?!
Hi Everybody, our company GSI GROUP LLC search for customer project a solution.
Power comes from Sensor 0.5 V / 10 mA. With Step DC/DC Booster we were going to boosting from 0.5 to 10 Volt. I want to increase my current from 10mA 10V to 5 V 200mA for USB port. I received the part ALM 2402. Can I use for this circle. Do have any solution for me.
Thanks,
Ramin

Can the LMH3401 be used to convert a differential signal to single-ended signal?
Hello,
I have a differential output signal from an avalanche photodiode that I need to convert to single-ended output. The output range is +- 80 kV and the bandwidth is >2 GHz. Can I use the LMH3401EVM for that? If not, is there another solution?
Thanks.

Degradation of the electrical resistance
Degradation of the electrical resistance
I need to measure degradation of an electric resistance, with respect to another reference.
Both are in the same medium, a protected by a resin and the other exposed. They are very low, between 1m ohms and 5 ohms maximum.
As want to measure varies relative to the other in order to quantify the effect of degradation, an alternating signal applied by the AF points, measure the differential voltages between BC, obtaining voltage reference system and between CD, for the external voltage.
The two VRef and Vext outputs connect to the instrumentation amplifier and get its (VRef - VEXT) = VDif, with an additional gain.
Then I use a filter Buterbord of 3 active stages, for the sign.
Rline is the resistance presented by the cable between the sensor and the measurement system, about 10 meters 6-conductor shielded cable of 0.75mm diameter each.
The output signal is very unstable.
As I can improve the design?.
Is there any other method of measurement that gives me better, I thought to use a Wheatstone bridge or Kevin, but being so low value of resistence, not know how to create it.
How to purchase the KGD
Hello,
INA333-HT and OPA2333-HT also have the KGD.
I would like to know how to purchase the KGD.
I will use them for our product of Mass Production.

How to replace OPA1632 with a low-power OPA?
Hi,
I am trying to design an 8-ch A/D logger.
So I am reading the guide which is ADS1281EVM and ADS1281EVM-PDK User's Guide.
In the circuit, it use OPA1632 for a buffer.
But I notice that the power consumption is very high. (high current)
In my application, it will causes a short life-cycle.
The power consumption is my top priority.
The performance can be decreased a little bit.
If possiable, please give me some suggestions.
Thank you.

TI OP solution (G=1000 or high gain)
Dear Sirs
I want to find OP solution:
1. purpose--> idle noise amplification and measurement,
2. Voice line idle noise level --> 0.01mv ~0.05mv
3. low noise, high precision
4. amplified voltage level --> 0~5V range
5. gain change with no additional noise
Any other choices which not use tri-OP like INA188?

TLV4113, OPA567, OPA569 - Which one?
Hi,
An application requires couple of TI op amps for a new circuit design.
The parts that are interested: TLV4113, OPA567, and OPA569.
The part needs to drive has reasonably high continuous output current (~250 mA) and needs to be biased off a split rail of e.g. +2.5 V/-5.0 V. In some operating modes it will have low current negative output. My preference is for the smaller TLV4113 or OPA567. Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

OPT101 Class 1 Division 2 rating?
Hey Team,
Is the OPT101 rated as Class 1 Division 2 (where ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids are present within the atmosphere under abnormal operating conditions)? (en.wikipedia.org/.../Electrical_equipment_in_hazardous_areas)
I have looked through the datasheet and have not found any mention of this. Is this rating listed somewhere on the website possibly?
Is this a device level specification or a system level?
Thanks,
Dylan Ashley
