PGA309 SENSOREMULATOREVM SensorEmulatorEVM Evaluation Module setup/config

I recently purchased the SensorEmulatorEVM Evaluation Module.

I also have the  

PGA309 Test Board and USB DAQ Platform set

(2) PGA reference designs PCBA;s constructed.

I'm wishing to set-up the SensorEmulatorEVM to do "what-if's" and aid in the selection of my pressure sensor strain gauge.

The problem that I am having is that the documentation supplied CD with the SensorEmulatorEVM Evaluation Module is showing older "dated" accessories hooked up to the SensorEmulatorEVM Evaluation Module.

On the supplied CD of the (2) PGA reference designs PCBA;s constructed the docs  PGA309 Quick Start_sboa103c.pdf and PGA309 Quick Start_sboa103c.pdf are not referring to the PGA309 Test Board and USB DAQ Platform set.

I presume the older "PGA309 Sensor Interface Board" is equivalent to the "PGA309 Test Board" which I have therefore I can substitute the PGA309 Test Board or one of my (2) PGA reference designs PCBA;s I have constructed as well? 

The instructions as such are not clear to me on hooking up as they are referring to other accessories which I presume were offered in the past.

The Sensor Emulator I won't need to use for temperature simulation, I have my design setup for using the temp sensor internal to the PGA309 so I really just need the Sensor Emulator to provide a zero and span output and then vary it around for my "what-ifs'.  So it's not clear to me if I can just use this for the bridge simulation without hooking up the temperature terminals or worrying about the Sensor Emulator jumper settings?

So if there is any documentation updated for using the Sensor Emulator with the latest PGA309 Test Board and USB DAQ Platform set please advise.

I also plan on using the PGA309 Test Board and USB DAQ Platform set with the (2) PGA reference designs PCBA;s I have constructed as well.


Can the LMH3401 be used to convert a differential signal to single-ended signal?

Hello,


I have a differential output signal from an avalanche photodiode that I need to convert to single-ended output. The output range is +- 80 kV and the bandwidth is >2 GHz. Can I use the LMH3401EVM for that? If not, is there another solution?

Hi,

I would like to use the LMP91000 for 3-lead AC cyclic voltammetry applications. I have thought through a modification which would allow me to get an AC excitation of the A1 amplifier, but was curious as to how fast the LMP91000 responds to changing currents. Specifically, the compensation circuit for the working and reference electrodes.

I see Figures 4 and 5 in the datasheet are showing change in voltage and current vs. time. Glancing over the figures, it looks like the response is within 200 us (at lower RLoads). That would indicate that I could use signals up to 5 kHz? Is this an accurate assessment?

Hi, good evening. I'm measuring an AC current of 50mA @ 5A and must be less than 50 ms its response. This, I've got a TC and an array of opamp peak detector and a filter at the output to try to make it as similar to a DC signal, but I have some questions. If I want to measure the amplitude, this configuration is valid for OPAMP (peak detector)? I say this because I am not measuring the negative part of the AC signal and do not know if losing accuracy and speed of detecting a change in current.

INA125 Reference Output current

Does anyone know the maximum output current from the INA-125's voltage reference output?  The data sheet isn't clear.  2 parameters mention the reference current: VREF accuracy vs. load is done up to 5mA (p.2), and DeltaVos vs reference current is done up to 8mA (p7).  My circuit doesn't use an external transistor.  Thank you.

TL022C - Absolute maximum ratings

Hi all

Would you mind if we confirm about TL022C?

Absolute maximum ratings are Vcc+ : +18V, Vcc- : -18V, in case of using single power supply, it will be 0V - 36V.
When the single power supply is 0V - 36V, Absolute maximum ratings of input voltage is 0V - 30V, isn't it?
And then, recommended input voltage will be 0V - 26V, won't it?

Is OPA549's polarity of leak current depend on Rcl only? 

・Rcl=∞ (or pin open)

 ⇒Leak current is negative

・Rcl=0

 ⇒Leak current is positive

※by datasheet P6

Is there the other reason of reverse polarity?

XTR 11x application

  My customer is looking for help in the proper use of the XTR-11x for taking 0-5 VDC and converting to 4-20 mA for isolated and non-isolated 4-20 outputs.

LMH6517 register addresses

I'm reading the LMH6517 data sheet.  It mentions that the part is able to be configured using SPI.  It shows an address field in the word sent to the part but I am unable to find anything anywhere that shows what the register addresses are.  Is anyone able to help?  We need to make our own interface for the part from an FPGA.

Hey,

 

I need an amplifier. I am using the ADE7953 from ADI. However I need an amp on the front end. I have 16 isolated channels so size is really important (16 individual amps)

Current and voltage metering in a PLC application

 

Only need a bandwidth of a few KHz – less than 5KHz, the input to the amp will be approx. 7-10v and the input to the ADE is 500mV.

A PGA would be great but unlikely to get the low power and small size?

Small Size, low power, high input impedance

Low cost.

INA148UA - maximum common mode voltage curve on inputs with single supply

Hi!

We use the INA148 (differential amplifier with high common mode voltage), on a aeronautical equipment, to receive a differential signal from A/C (Air Craft).

The context gives us voltage withstand constraints and our INA148 is supplied under 10V single mode. The datasheet gives the maximum common mode voltage admissible for 5V->15V symmetrical supply but only 5V for single supply, all at 25°C. Specific parameter are given with an offset of Vs/2 and Vs=5V : CMVR=[-47.5V;+32.5V].

It would be more practical to get a complete graph of the maximum common mode voltages according to supply voltage levels, offset levels and also a temperature coefficient. 

Anyway, do someone can tell me what are these maximums [-60 V;+55 V]?

LMH6521 control issue

Hi,

I'm using LMH6521 on a new board.

I've some difficulties to control the amplifier in Serial mode. 

 I can correctly  write and read the device trough the SPI pins.

Aftern enabloing the ENB or ENA i see something on spectrum analyzer but chaning attenuatoion value nothing changes.

When I write, first bit is always one to apply proper attenuation immediatly.

I have double check scheamtic and footrpint but I did't find any difference from evaluation board.

Any suggestion?

I am facing analog isolation interface issue with IC AMC1100.

I am using 6 analog i/ps namely

1. Load cell amplified by INA333, buffered by op amp OPA333& then isolated by AMC1100 with follower Op amp OPA333& connected to CPU analog i/p channel 

2. 2 nos. PT100 temp sensor amplified using MCP609 op amp & then isolated by AMC1100 with follower Op amp OPA333& connected to CPU analog i/p channel

3. Cr. Al temp sensor amplified using AD8497, buffered by opamp OPA333& then isolated by AMC1100 with follower Op amp OPA333& connected to CPU analog i/p channel

4. RPM sensor pulsed i/p converted from F to V controller LM2917M, buffered by op amp OPA333& then isolated by AMC1100 with follower Op amp OPA333& connected to CPU analog i/p channel 

5. Fuel sensor 0 to 5V divided o/p isolated by AMC1100 with follower Op amp OPA333& connected to CPU analog i/p channel.

Interface circuits attached along with power supply. 

I am getting correct variable analog o/p voltage going as i/p to IC AMC1100 pin no. 2 (Test points TP5, 6, 7, 8, 9), but o/p is fixed 2.58V , not varying for 1st 3 channels (Test points A-1, 2, 3)

Where as in other 3 channels (Test  Point A-4,5,7)I am getting fixed non variable o/p of 1.35 volts.

Isolated 5V (+5VISO)  supply is used for Analog Op amp as well as for AMC1100 primary side.

Where as 3.3V (VCC_A3V3) separate analog supply is used for AMC1100 secondary side + Delfino CPU TMC320 F28355 analog side supply.

For Delfino CPU I am using Digital Power supply as well as Analog power supply of which grounds are shorted using 3.3UH inductor.

Can you guide what wrong is with circuit or  grounding.

Is the gain setting over 1000 for INA188 possible?

Currently, my HW circuit is designed by using only one TI's INA188.

But, the issue for my design with INA188 is a lack of gain set, 1 to 1000, specified its data sheet.

According to simulation, it is required to get over 2000.

Could you tell me the drawback for Rg below 25 ohm?

I want to measure a high accurate current range from 4mA to 20 mA by using Arduino Uno which has ADC 10 bits. Is RCV420 precise enough to get the exact current value from my Arduino.
I appreciate any help

PGA309 Internal temperature not reading consistently

I'm using a Multi-Cal setup to communicate with a PGA309.  In the Fast Scan portion of the code, before the EEPROM verify, I've added the mnemonic commands to set up register 6 for internal temperature measurements and then read the temperature from register 0.  Occasionally I get an invalid value back from register 0.

The command sequence is ONE 0x55 0x01 0x06, ONE 0x55 0x04 0x03 0x12, ONE 0x55 0x01 0x00, ONE 0x55 0x10 R R.  I have a 100mS delay between the register 6 write and the setting of the address for the read.  I have found that if I repeat the sequence twice in a row, the second time I always get a good temperature reading.

For example I've read back 201B, 014B; 1A5B, 014B; 014A, 014A.  The first read is sometimes an invalid value.  I can detect this in software and retry, but would like to understand why it's happening.  Has any one run into something similar?
