LMV604/Maximum value of Input bias current

Hi all.

Could you tell me maximum value of Input bias current about LMV604?

The reference data is no problem.

In addition, LMV344 is listed the input bias current(max), but LMV604 isn't listed it.

Please tell me this background .

Since LMV604 is inexpensive than LMV344, I think it is in order to reduce test cost.

XTR110 enable/disable circuit

$

Hello. My circuit uses a XTR110 to translate a voltage signal from 0-10V to 4-20mA, using the basic circuits from its datasheets, with a P-MOS at the output to drive the load.

I need that the output current be 0mA when a fail is detected in other sections of the system. The fail signal is CMOS/TTL.

In the image below I propose an implementation based on the Ouput Enable circuit from the XTR111 datasheet. The switch would be implemented with a small signal MOS transistor, with its gate controlled by the fail signal previuosly mentioned. My concern is about the 3k resistor in the gate of the Qext transistor, how it will affect the control loop from the XTR110.

Reeplacing the XTR110 for a XTR111 is not an option (for now). The input signal range can be modified if needed.

Is there another more elegant solution to implement a ouput enable/disable for the XTR110 to indicate a fail in the system?

Best regards,

Mr. Electron.

OPA171 - the improvement of phase margin and gain margin

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask OPA171?

We simulated the phase margin and the gain margain on Tina-TI following files.(using  Middlebrook method)

(Please visit the site to view this file)

The value of phase margin and gain margain is requried each followings;
-Gain margin: 10dB
-Phase margin: 60degree

We changed the value of feedback capacitances(C1, C2 from 1pF to 100nF) and C3, C4(1pF to 100nF)
However, we could not get target value of gain margin and phase margin.

So, how much of value are good for C1, C2 to prevent oscillation?
If you have some advice, could you let know us?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

OPA1644 SPICE model problem

Hello,

I’ve tried to download the PSpice model of OPA1644, and run a simple simulation in Altium. But it always stops, and gives an error message:

XSpice  Error: Syntax error in expression on line: 182

Line 182 contains the following:

E1 VOUT+ VOUT- VALUE={LIMIT(GAIN*V(VC+,VC-),VPOS,VNEG)}

I realise, that Altium uses XSPice and not PSPice. Is it possible, that this causes the problem? If yes, how can I fix this?

Please help!

OPA4188 SR Limit

I'm wondering if someone can help me why our OPA4188 is showning SR limits of about 80KV/S (0.08V/uSec) instead of the specificaiton of 0.8V/uSec typ?

My circuit is a differential input gain of one using 100K ohm resistors.  Circuit is shown below.

The inputs are sinewaves of about 9Vp and 4Vp for an output of about 5Vp.  I have captured the positive input and output in the waveforms below.

(Please visit the site to view this file)

Does load have any effect on SR limit on this Op Amp?

Dear Specialists

My customer is considering OPA320.

He want to know the deviation of current noise.

According to the datasheet, It is 0.6 fA typ.

But max and min value is not described.

How much is it over temperature range(-40deg to 125deg)

What percent is apart from the typical value?

AMC1100, Fixed Gain Error?

$

Hi,

I use AMC1100 to measure high-AC voltage on 60Hz, all phases+neutral, as per attached schematics (please look below). To do preliminary tests, I used a waveform generator to apply 50mVpp/60Hz/sine between VinP and VinM. Then, I measured the output voltage of my AMC1100, between VoutP and VoutM: the voltage is 2.55V+200mVpp. Since I have 5V on VDD1 and 5V on VDD2, the DC value is as per datasheet. However, the gain is 4 only. Is there something wrong with my design?

The devices are marked as AMC11000-TI Z518-2AHG4. I have been told that G4 means Green-RoHs compliant, but I wonder if this could mean a special gain of 4 instead: my design is rather simple because the PCB must be as small as possible...

Thanks and Regards,

Etienne

I am thinking to use XTR115 for a 3-wire 4-20mA system as follow, will it be all right?

I prefer XTR115 over XTR111 since it requires much less external components.

Hi All,

Our customer is looking for the solution of low-side sensing for 3 phase motor. Then please let me ask following question.

  1. Does IN+ of current sense amp need to have over 72V Common-Mode Range?
  2. Can current sense amp operate with V+=5V if 72V common- mode range needed?
  3. Do you have recommended device for 1ch, analog output and following configuration?

INA125U not amplifying per the datasheet

Hi,

I have a INA125U connected to an light detector. The detector is reading a pulse from an LED emitter. I'm attempting to amplify the signal 18.3X using a 4.2Kohm resisitor for Rg. Schematic is attached, Rg is labeled incorrectly as a 15K so please ignore that. I have tried several different gain resistors and I don't get much if any change in the Output. I have also tried 3 different Amplifiers, all hand soldered. I have verified the Rg traces connect to the INA125, but it behaves as if they don't.

I have a very similar circuit using a INA122u that is working properly. The only difference is the sleep pin and the link for the Precision reference.  I need to get the INA125U to the same approximate level of amplification, the INA122 is using a 15K Rg. I would use the INA122 but I don't have any boards to mount it on yet.

Scope trace of the INA125 gain is 64 (Rg = 1K) Orange is +Input, Blue is Output. Output is 100mv/div:

Scope trace of the INA122U at a gain of 18.3 (Rg = 15K) Orange is +Input, Blue is Output. Output is 200mv/div:

What am I doing wrong?

OPA365/OPA2365 input offset drift voltage by temperature

 Hello guys,

Could you give me your help?

My customer wants to know storongly how much input offset drift voltage of OPA365 (50MHz, Low-Distortion, High CMRR,RRI/O, Single-Supply OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER) by temperature changing is.

They could find that it is 1uV/degC in the device electrical characteristics table on page 3 of the device datasheet. But it is typical value and any maximum value is not shown in the table. A histogram of offset voltage drift production distribution is shown on page 4 of the datasheet. According to the histogram, the maximum offset voltage drift is 4.0uV/degC.

Is this the maximum value in all production of OPA365? If it is not correct, could you tell me what the maximum value of offset drift by temperature is. Or if you have another distribution histogram, could you please send me?

 Your help would be appreciated.

 Thank you and best regards,

 Kazuya Nakai.

recommended op amp to buffer as close as possible to ground rail, 24 V supply

$

I have an application for a 0 to 5 V signal output buffer for industrial control.  Load is about 1 k to ground.  In this industrial control application, power is a 24 V single supply.

What amp can anyone recommend that has the lowest output-low voltage for this kind of application?  I've checked out a couple of the rail-to-rail precision amps like OPA340 but they mostly have 5.5V maximum supply rails, so they are non-starters with my 24 V rail.

I know that the "right" answer might be to create a negative rail, but  I am trying to do the best I can with a simple single supply buffer.

LM675 heat generation problem

$

Hi -

I'm running a pair of LM675's as a differential output driver at 70 khz at up to +/- 20V peak sinewave output from  +/- 24V supplies.  Each is running at about 23db gain closed loop so there wouldn't seem to be a stability issue although my circuit is somewhat different than the simple example circuits in the spec sheet for the part.

The problem is that each of them are dissipating about an amp internally under these conditions and the customer is rejecting this lack of efficiency.

This extremely high current remains constant even with no load which appears extremely strange and wasteful for an amplifier claimed to have a 70 Khz power bandwidth, which is how I am operating it.

The heat problem appears to get linearly worse as frequency increases above 10 khz, and the amplitude exceeds about 20%.  When with no output level or at much lower frequencies, the LM675 appears to be in spec current wise.

I can supply a schematic to show exactly how I'm operating them.

Is the LM675 actually this inefficient?  It appears to be hugely wasteful to waste 24 watts as heat  @ 70 khz below clipping. with no load at the output.

Btw, it appears likely that the 1 ohm, 0.22 uf stabilization network is the major culprit here.  In the lack of margin of stability characteristics in the product spec, what might TI suggest as an alternative stabilization approach to allow the LM675 to meet its claimed performance as a ''70 khz full power bandwidth amplifier' while maintaining a reasonable level of efficiency up to 3A?

Strain Gauge measurement with ADS1248

Hi,

I have to measure strain & circuit is attached.

1. SG nominal = 1000 ohms , with min = 900 ohms during compression & max = 1100 ohms during tension.

2. I have used R5 to generate Vref for ADS1248

R5 produce Vref = 0.6V.

3. Minimum resolution I need is = 25nV.

Max voltage = +1.282mV

Min voltage = -1.22mV

4. I have used PGA = 128.

My questions are:

1. What will be resolution is? Is it:

resolution = Vref / (2^23 * PGA)

= 0.6 / (128 * 8388608) = 0.55nV.

2. In datasheet I have read that noise is in uV with Verf = 2.5V.

But in my case vref is also small & PGA = 128.

3. Any comments?
