LM2901: Would like clarification on what the minimum low level output current parameter means

$

Part Number:LM2901

In the LM2901 datasheet, table 7.8, it states that the Iol at a Vol of 1.5V is a minimum of 6mA. Does that mean that the output can only be guaranteed to sink 6mA? Or is it saying that at Vol = 1.5V, the amount of current it can sink is at least 6 mA, but typically 16 mA.

INA105: Output Clipping

Part Number:INA105

I am using the INA105 in a difference amp configuration to receive a signal output which can go up to +10.5V. When the input signal rises above +9V the output of the INA105 will follow the input signal to almost 10V and then clips to around 8V. I am using  +/- 12V supplies for the INA105. I increased the +12V supply to +13.1V and it appears to work better. I have another device on the board that prevents me to go beyond 13.2V on the positive power supply rail.

On the s cope capture, Trace 1 is the input signal and Trace 2 is the output signal form the INA105.

THS4521: Problems encountered when measuring the effect of VFTO on small signals

Part Number:THS4521

I use circuit A and  circuit B to  test  the High transient voltage of  point A and  point B which may cause by very fast transient voltage (VFTO) of the the board AC220  power input。In the actual test, the points A ,B and the ground  of the board to be tested are connected to the test board by flying lines as pic below。

The attached file  is  the whole  circuit。the input  VG1 is ±1.5V, 50Hz AC input。The voltages at points A and B are extremely small, all of which are MV-level. At the test site, the voltage quality of point A collected by the oscilloscope is particularly poor before being disturbed by VFTO. as pic below

1、Why is the interference of this original signal so large, how to solve it?

2、for testing the transient interference of this mv-level signal (possibly about 10V), how to ensure the quality of the original mV signal, and accurately measure the V-level transient  interference voltage?

3、Besides ,When simulating, the voltage at point A is at most 2mV, but the actual oscilloscope sees 100mV. Why is it so big?

I know that you are immersed in the joy of Christmas, and may be busy for this, but I hope that you will take the time to look at this issue and be able to respond to me in time, I am very grateful!

INA225: Measuring small currents

Part Number:INA225

Hi,

I am trying to measure small currents with the INA225. (Imax 25mA) High-side 24V. Rshunt = 1Ohm. Gain 100. Vs = +5V.

I have the following measurement C1 is a control step-input. C2 signal measured by INA225 (no load). C4 an external current probe. slowly rising current on C4 is OK (for the moment) there's a PMOSFET controlling the current, which is charging slowly.

What I don't like is INA225 starting to measure only at about 14mA (14mV). Is that behavior intended by TI? How can I know from the datasheet? What can I do better?

Second thing. For larger/faster steps, there is a delay of around 22us from input to output, that I cannot find a reason for.

Thanks for any help/correction/advise!

Basic Isolation and Reinforced Digital Isolator

Hi team,

I'd like to ask a question on the difference between Basic Isolation and Reinforced Digital Isolator

I understand isolation performance is quantified at the component level by parameters such as VIORM, VIOWM, VIOTM, VISO, etc.. Does it mean all the reinforced sockets have better prformance(specs mentioned above) than basic isolation sockets?

Is there a specific parameter we can differetiate whether the device is basic or reinforced isolated? Thanks.

Patrick

Does the AFE031 require calibration? What is worst case scenario of not calibrating each unit?

Also, I will be using BOOSTXL-AFE0031 evaluation kit. Do you know if this eval kit comes pre-calibrated?

When I measure my board there is a connection between VCC and the Gnd pins? İs it possible? How could that be that they are attached?

I have burnt really expensive photodiode because of the issue? is it possible? when I measure the 3rd ground pin of the Photodiode connection seems to be connected both Vcc and gnd? How is it possible?

Part Number:LM2904

I am trying to measure a 0-5V analog signal with a 0-3.3V tolerant analog input pin.  I'm planning on using an op-amp as a buffer then adding a voltage divider, but is there a simpler solution?  I need 20 signals, so that's a lot of external components with a cap and resistor for every opamp.  Any ideas?

ONET2804T: Application

Part Number:ONET2804T

My customer used our TI-TIA ONET2804T in their ROSA, when they test RSSI, they got split in different voltage input, please check the plot:

It was tested in Rrssi at 10kohm: (marked red in the second figure), his questions are:

1: why there are splits in the RSSI at different voltage

2. at what value we should set the Rrssi for the best performance, means close to ideal and no split.

Thanks.

TLV7011: Zero Crossing Detection with common mode voltage below VEE

Part Number:TLV7011

Hello,

i would like to switch my current zerocrossing detection circuit for a better, more precise, one. So i thought about doing something like this:

Taken from https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snoa999/snoa999.pdf

The design notes recommend the TLV7011 because of its phase inversion protection feature when leaving the CMVR. Is the no other comparator with a greater CMVR or a small workaround to stay within the CMVR, but keep getting precise ZC Events?

Has anyone tested a circuit like that?

Part Number:LOG114

We have Observed Square Wave at reference I2 in the below circuit

Due to this we are unable to measure current less than 500nA, Is Square Wave should be on I2 or it should be DC level (VCM level)?

Kindly help to resolve the issue

PGA281: Regarding TIPD135 current sensing range

$

Part Number:PGA281

Hi Experts

I am Application Engineer at Display driver IC company from Taiwan, I want to design the current/voltage sensing circuit solution, and the spec. as below:

IO digital Power supply 1: +1.2V ~ +4V, 1uA ~ 100mA

Positive Analog Power supply 3: +4V ~ +6.6V, 1uA ~ 100mA

Negative Analog Power supply 1: -6.6V ~ -4V, -1uA ~ -100mA

I want to refer to the TI reference designs TIPD135(10uA-100mA, 0.05% Error, High-Side Current Sensing Solution Reference Design) to achieve my circuits.

I have a question how to use the TIPD135 reference design for my application condition(1uA ~ 100mA), or, are there any TI solutions can achieve the spec(1uA ~ 100mA).

Regards,

Frank Huang
