LM358PSR-JF

Part Number:LM358

Hi,

My customer had ordered LM358PSR-JF before, however we can't order it now.

Though we can't help ordering LM358PWR, we worry what "actual" LM358PWR characteristics is different from LM358PSR-JF characteristics.

Could you share comparison measurement data of LM358PWR and LM358PSR-JF if you have?

We know what the datasheet of LM358PWR and LMR358PSR-JF is common.

THS3217: ths3241 or INA

Hasan:

Oh, I did not know INA series were that fast. Which ones? Unfortunately, cannot use baluns. Too big. Will the balanced ADC input take out the common mode mode 2.5v?
Since we plan to offer this as a stand alone product, we have to give an option of single vout- with min delay through the sensor/amp & maintain total integrity of the complex waveform being detected.
thnx much for your suggestions.

OPA2810: Input offset variance between JFET input and CMOS(Aux-Stage) input

Part Number:OPA2810

Hi,

Let me ask you some questions as below.

Q1) Operating voltage

About operating voltage, I understood following. Is my understanding correct?

   (Vs-)  ---  (Vs+) - 2.5V  :  JFET Stage amp

   Over (Vs+) - 2.5V         :  Aux-Stage (CMOS) amp

Q2) Input offset voltage

Following is the offset data in case of Vs+ = 5V, FIgure 43 (datasheet P21)

I understood that the JFET-stage works between -2.8V to 0V and Aux-stage works 0V to 2.8V.

If my understanding is correct, the input offset has varied at 0V the boundary between JFET and Aux.

Is my idea right?

Q3) Distortion happened

I suppose there also something distortion will happen when the input signal crosses the boundary.

So to keep the accuracy, we should use OPA2810 within (Vs+) - 2.5V, correct?

Thank you for your support.

INA3221: pull up voltage value for critical and warning pin , 1.8V ok? & alert time checking

Part Number:INA3221

Dear colleague,

My customer concerns on pull up voltage value for critical and warning pin. On DS, Both critical pin and warning pin is pull high to VS, VS is 2.7V to 5V. My customer set VS = 3.3V , but critical pin and warning pin is not pulled high to VS, they set 1.8v to critical pin and warning pin. If it is ok ?  ( 1 question )

The other question is , when our pin detect alert, how's the time ( from detecting alert to action on pin )?

Thanks.

Switched mode power supplies for audio opamps

I am looking at possibilities in low noise, switched mode power supplies for use with audio opamps (e.g. opa1692 etc such as would be used in microphone preamplifiers).

As such I have been browsing TI application notes to see if anything exists in this area. I didn't find anything yet so thought I would ask - are there any related application notest/technical documents?

For info, basic requirements for such a power supply are 230 VAC in and +/- 18V & +48V DC out at 1A.

Part Number:THS3491

Dear Specialists,

My customer is interested in THS3491 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

I am interested in THS3491 that has very high slew rate, high current output and wide bandwidth.

Could I confirm the minimum voltage gain?

According to the datasheet, it seems to be 2, but I'd like to use as low as possible, hopefully one.

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

OPA172: Operating Temperature Range

Part Number:OPA172

Hi,

As per datasheet, the specified temperature for OPA172 is -40 to +125degC.

What is the operating temperature of OPA172 ?. Following is an extract from the OPA172 datasheet page -8. Here Operating temperature is not mentioned.

I also use other op-amps like OPA2209, OPA4171, OPA188 in my design and datasheet of all these components clearly provide Operating Temperature and Specified temperature separately. Why the datasheet of OPA172 is inconsistent with other op-amps from OPA series.

Following figure is extracted from OPA188 datasheet page-4 where Operating Temperature and Specified Temperature are clearly specified,

Thanks,

Shihab.

PGA309: Duplicate Coarse Adjustment values

Part Number:PGA309

In the PGA309 user manual, Table 6-10 lists two entries for -7(Vref)(0.85E-3) and two entries for 7(Vref)(0.85E-3). Is this a typo?  If not, why does this repeat?

It violates this statement in 6.2.5:  OS[4:0]: Coarse Offset Adjust on Front-End PGA, 4-bit + sign 1LSB = (VREF)(0.85E − 3)

Part Number:INA302

Dear Amplifier Team,

could you kindly help me with the foloowing information for the INA302

1. The maximum recovery time of the output stage from the saturation (both supply rails)

2. How to consider the reference voltage or its influence in the tolerance chain

Thank you in advance and wish you a pleasant day ahead

TINA/Spice/INA828: Spice/ INA828

Part Number:INA828

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

I created the following test circuit:

INA828 is supplied with single +5V. The reference voltage is set to 1,5V. The gain is set to 50 (Rg = 1K). The common mode voltage is set to 2,5V. Both inputs are connectet to each other. I used the spice subcircuit to simulate the behavior. The expected output value is 1,5V. The simulation result is 1,5186V.

I need your help.

Hi team,

My customer want to use the INA231 to replace the INA220.

1. Please help to review the schematic of the INA231 as below:

2. For the programming, are the programming of  the INA231 compatible with the INA220? Are there so many change of the programming?

INA213: Random Component Failures

Part Number:INA213

We are experiencing random component failures / burn up of this part in a new product design which has been extensively reviewed by TI in the past.

We are not exceeding any of it's operating specifications and the components are properly oriented on the board

At this point, I believe that we may be receiving faulty components from either TI, the vendor or the assembly house.

We need to resolve this issue ASAP as we have just order 100 assemblies that use 3 of these components each.

Thank You in advance

OPA2354: Output abnormal while VDD rise from 0V to 3.3V

Part Number:OPA2354

Hi TI,

We found that when VDD rise from 0V to 3.3V with no any input signal on V+/V-, the output will goes to high for short time.

Here's the schematic below.

I can also duplicate by TINA-TI, the Vout abnormal when VDD goes up.

Could you please help to describe it in detail?

Thank you very much.

INA231: Mode Questions

Part Number:INA231

Hi Support,

Since ‘Shunt and bus, continuous’ is the default mode, does this mode start operations immediately after power up?

If I select ‘Power down’ mode, and then immediately select ‘Shunt and bus, continuous’ mode, what is the time delay before ‘Shunt and bus, continuous’ mode begins operation?

If I select ‘Shunt and bus, triggered’ mode, what is the time before the ‘Conversion Ready’ bit is set, given that the acquisition time = #samples*(Vbus time + Vshunt time) ?

Thanks,

Mike
