Part Number:INA4181-Q1

Hi,

We are looking for dual or quad channel high-side current sensing amplifier with either analog or SPI/I2C output.

We would like to sense the currents for the following voltages:

+9V
-9V
+4.25V
-4.25V

Current Sense Range: 0 to 1.5A

Please suggest a suitable amplifier for the above mentioned requirements.

We checked on the following IC on the TI website:

1. INA4181-Q1 (4 – Channel Current Amplifier with analog outputs) - www.ti.com/.../ina4181-q1.pdf

As per the datasheet of this amplifier, this amplifier can accept voltage from -0.2V to 26V on IN+ and IN- pins in common mode.

As per our understanding, this amplifier can be used to sense current for +9V and +4.25V. Please let us know if these devices can be used to sense current for -9V and -4.25V?

If not then please suggest similar devices to INA4181-Q1 that can be used to sense the current for the below mentioned voltages:

+9V
-9V
+4.25V
-4.25V

Current Sense Range: 0 to 1.5A

Thanks & Regards,
Sunny Watts

THS4551: Minimum Input Frequency

Part Number:THS4551

Hi Team,

 The input frequency for the customer application is 0.1 to 3KHz, the circuit configuration is a 10 times gain amplifier.
 The Fig.68 Differential Open-Loop Output Impedance in datasheet shows that the impedance at low frequency is high impedance.

 The customer's application uses TH4551 at Closed-Loop,  Closed-Loop Output Impedance will be small. is it possible to use TH4551 at the customer application?

Part Number:TLC075

Hi,

I have a question related to Peak to Peak output voltage vs frequency in the TLC75 datasheet :

In this curve, how is guaranted the THD+N <= 5%? Is it only on the flat region of the curve?

Could anyone tell me what circuit is used for this test (amplifier with a gain of 10 or more?).

Thanks

Matthieu

LM393: Is there a dual supply comparator that also has a ground pin to interface with digital logic?

Part Number:LM393

I have a number of bipolar (+/- 3.5V) signals that need to be individually compared to a programmable threshold to drive a LVTTL digital input (ISO7741 isolator).

A thorough search shows me that a programmable threshold comparator (voltage output DAC +  comparator) is not something that exists.  As such, I am now looking for a comparator with bipolar inputs, an output that will be compatible with LVTTL, and will run off of my +/- 5V rails.  So far, I haven't found anything by any manufacturer since all parts that are close don't have a ground pin for the output.  I could add a second comparator and a transistor or a couple of transistors to the output, but I'd rather create a smaller solution if one exists.  Thoughts?

Hi, team.

I posted the following thread.

e2e.ti.com/.../732488

Let me confirm CMPout behavior on INA200.

<Quesiton>

While Vin keeps Low (<0.6V), does CMPout keep Low even if RESET repeat High and Low?

On my customer’s verification, CMPout repeats high and Low linked with RESET.

Which is the correct behavior?

WHY IS THIS OPAMP(TL082) NOT WORKING AS SUBTRACTOR (UNDER LOW DIFFERENTIAL INPUT   & GAIN=1)? Application diagram is same as the diagram in the link. In the circuit, V2 range is 12Volt to 14Volt, V1 is 12Volt  and R1=R2=Rf.     And suggest an opamp that works in low differential input voltage. Thanks

OPA355-Q1: How to coodinate phase margin of high speed amplifier

Part Number:OPA355-Q1

Dear all,

My customer concern oscillation of this high speed amplifier with high load capacitance(around 1nF).

Could you teach us the appropriate way to coodinate phase margin?

Simulation by TINA-TI? Test by FRA? or Test by oscilloscope with changing capacitance load and resistor?

We think that high speed amplifier can oscillate easier than general purpose amplifiers.

So, we would like to know the right way to coodinate phase margin.

INA212-Q1: how to protect MCU pin connected with OUT pin

Part Number:INA212-Q1

Dear all,

We concern the situation when IN- pin and OUT pin is shorted.

We connect IN- pin to 12V and OUT pin to 5V MCU.

So, if they are shorted, MCU I/O pin will be broken by 12V.

Could you teach us the countermeasures to protect MCU pin?

Best regards,

LMP8358: Differential input ?

Part Number:LMP8358

Why is the LMP8358 limited to 100mV differential input? I would like to use it to 150mV or even 200mV. I see the absoulute max input is limited to the rails. I am suppling the INAMP with 5V and -0.3V.  I'm using it to sense current loside (0 to 200mV ) above circuit ground.

LMH6554: Frequency response for different input capacitances

Part Number:LMH6554

I'm using the LMH6554 as a transimpedance amplifier. The input current source has a capacitance C_IN in parallel. With this setup a PSPICE AC analysis results in the following bandwidths:

C_IN = 1 pF  => BW = 49 MHz

C_IN = 50 pF  => BW = 63 MHz

Usually transimpedance amplifier bandwidth decreases with increasing capacitances at input. What is the reason for this behaviour?

Part Number:TSM104W

Hello dear Amps Team,

Since the LM614 is EOL, I am searching for an alternative. I was recommended the TSM104W as such, however, I am not sure, if it is fully compatible. And if not, what are the main differences and what would be the better alternative? And which packages are available for the TSM104W, I would need the SO16W, or the SO16L.

Best regards,

Catarina

INA230: Power sequence Analog inputs between and Vs

Part Number:INA230

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask INA230?

<Question1>
Is there power sequence Analog inputs between and Vs?

<Question2>
On the datasheet, there are descriptions of absolute maximum ratings;
SDA : GND – 0.3 to +6
SCL : GND – 0.3 to VS + 0.3
Does it mean SCL has diode between SCL and VS?
SDA doesn't have diode between SDA and VS, right?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

Hi team,

For the ISO224 transfer function is shown in the datasheet figure. 5.

That's Vout diff= Vin/3 but may I know some voltage value for VOUTP and VOUTN when such as Vout diff= 2V and 4V in figure 5?

Thank you!

INA302: eFuse Application Causes Damage to Current Sense Amp

$

Part Number:INA302

Hi there,

I'm working on a current sensing application using the INA302A1 for electronic fusing in a robot power supply. Basically I'd like to set current threshold limits for a "slow blow" and "fast blow" fuse using the ALERT2 and ALERT1 outputs respectively. Both pins are tied together in a wired OR configuration with a shared pull-up resistor for an active low FLT signal which is then fed into control logic for a power MOSFET.

I tested the INA302 chip using the EVM and it seemed like it should work great for this application. After assembling my own prototype board, however, I'm running into some issues. I seem to have burnt up a few INA302 chips and I'm not sure why. My common mode voltage is 24V and my shunt resistor is 10mOhm. As I adjust the current through the shunt resistor with a variable load I eventually end up with a short between 24V and GND. This is with currents <1A, so I don't think that I'm exceeding the maximum differential input voltage. I've checked the rest of my board and it's definitely related to the INA302. I've read the datasheet carefully and I followed the suggested board layout closely so I'm confused as to why I keep blowing up chips. About the only change that I made was connecting the two ALERT signals together in a wired OR configuration, but since they are open-collector outputs I didn't think that would cause a problem. My analog design skills are a bit rusty, so I would appreciate any insight you all might have.

Here's a portion of the schematic:

Thanks,

Domenic Rodriguez
