Part Number:OPA192

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi Team,

My customer found our ibias model seems not correct, can any expert help to verify if this way of checking ibias is ok or not.

If not, what is suggested method?

Both OPA192 and OPA145 are the same.

Thanks.

Andrew

XTR111: XTR111 not working as expected

Part Number:XTR111

Dear All,

I have designed ckt. of XTR111 for following configurations

Input voltage range is 0v to 10v , So I have selected RSET = 4.99k. And I want output voltage 4mA to 20mA. To achieve 4mA , voltage divider used between Vin and REGF pin.

Reference voltage is 10v.

Issues

1) Not getting output current 4mA for 0v input.

2) Output current any random value and sometime above 36mA.

Schematic of XTR111, Please check design and respond ASAP.

Prashant

Hi all,

for a system reliability analysis according to MIL-HDBK-217 F notice 2 I was asked for the number of transistors in our OPA197IDBVR.

Do we have this information available?

LMP7701: Slew-rate limited for a 0.1 V/us input?

$

Part Number:LMP7701

Hi, I'm using an LMP7701 as a transimpedance amplifier with 249-kohm gain.  When I apply a signal to the non-inverting terminal, I expect to see it on the inverting terminal, via feedback action--this method is often used in electrochemistry.   But with this circuit, when I apply a square wave with 10-µs rise/fall times to the non-inverting terminal, I see segmented rising and falling edges on the inverting terminal--the signal tracks the input nicely for about 0.6 V, but then ramps over.   I'm guessing this a slew rate limitation, but the applied dV/dt is only 0.1 V/µs, whereas the typical slew rate for the LMP7701 is about 1 V/µs (at Av = +1).

Supply voltages are ±6 V.  The load on the transimpedance amp is 20 kohm in parallel with the input capacitance of another LMP7701.   There's a 20-pF cap in parallel with the 249-kohm feedback resistor.

Thanks for any advice!  --Chris

AMC1301: AMC1301 filter cap too large causing output error

Part Number:AMC1301

Hi support team,

My customer had a urgent issue while using AMC1301 for HV current sensing. They followed AMC1301EVM circuit for the input stage and found when they placed a 1uF cap for the differential mode filter cap, there will be huge output error. But if they reduced the differential mode cap to 220pF the output error will be gone.

Could you please help us to explain why? Here is the circuit they used:

The table is the test result:

CIDVINP-VINNVOUTP-VOUTNAMC1301 Gain

0.0270.21728.04

0.01450.09446.51
0.02170.14976.90
0.0270.18917.00

Is this due to the op-amp stability issue when the input capacitance is too large? What would be the maximum cap that can be used for AMC1301?

Thank you.

AMC1300: how to implement the low pass filter for AMC130x

Part Number:AMC1300

Hi team,

For the low pass filter, i see in AMC1301 datasheet, the schematic don't show a front stage low pass filter, but in AMC1300 datasheet, there is a differential low pass filter structure, so

1) what's the difference of AMC1301 and AMC1300 for the input implemention?

2) Is a front differential low pass filter structure is recommended by you side? if the AMC1301 could implement a front LPF?

VCA810: Avoiding step response overshoot

Part Number:VCA810

Hello, I have an application where I need to use a VGA but I also need to get a monotonic step response. With "monotonic" I mean that I need first-order responses and avoid overshoots, especially for the falling edge of the input signal. Take for example the VCA810 - which is the best one I've found so far - and look at datasheet's figures 3 and 4 (see image below). For small gains the response is first-order (green circle) but for large gains the response becomes of higher order (red circle). I've noticed that all of the VGAs apparently have this "issue".

My questions are therefore two:

  1. Why does this happen? Why apparently it happens only for the falling edge? Is it intrinsic of the VGA architecture?
  2. How can I avoid/improve this?

I cannot place a preamplifier before the VGA (and then use smaller gains) because I need to support a very wide input signal range. A possible idea could be to "invert" the input signal so that the falling edges become rising edges, and then invert the signal again after the VGA. But this is a sub-obtimal solution, because I need a clean response also for the rising edges (even if it's less critical).

Any idea is much appreciated.

Thank you!

L.

OPA330: Input Impedance

Part Number:OPA330

Dear all,

I am doing a project on CMOS op amp, I went through many data sheets, what i assumed was Input bias current is the current flowing through the input volltages and input impedance is change in input voltage divided with change in input current. Is my assumption correct, How to measure input Bias current and Input impedance. Help me please.

Thanks in advance

MPY634: Accuracy when using MPY634 as a divider

$

Part Number:MPY634

Hello, I am using MPY634 as a divider. On the datasheet, it says that 'accuracy of the divider mode typically ranges from 1.0% to 2.5% for a 10 to 1 denominator range depending on device grade'. I don't understand what it means by '10 to 1 denominator range'. Does it mean the value of the denominator needs to be between 10V and 1V? Or does it mean the ratio of numerator and denominator has to be between 10 and 1? Or something else? Many thanks. Eric

Part Number:AMC1200

Hello team,

I'm looking to replace the HCPL 7840-300E and was wondering if the AMC1200 is the best device in this case. I'm looking for an isolated amplifier which is preferrably pin to pin compatible with the HCPL 7840-300E. If not, could you please advice me on something different?

Thank you in advance.

Part Number:THS7373

Hello sir,

We are looking for a dual channel VGA splitter (1 x 2 ) with the following spec:

  • Input signal: RGB
  • Resolution: 1280*1024 @ 60Hz ( Bandwidth: 160MHz )

The THS7373 is suitable for this above application ?

For getting two VGA output how many IC need to use in this application?

Whether One IC is enough to drive two VGA outputs or Two IC required?

Thanks & Regards

LMP7721: Unity gain stability of LMP7721

$

0

Part Number:LMP7721

Hello,

I have a few questions about the LMP7721:

1.  Is it unity gain stable?  The datasheet indicates pretty poor phase margin (~ 35 degrees) when Av=+1.  The small signal step response has 40% overshoot.  Anything that can be done to improve this?

2.  In unity-gain configuration, can putting a parallel R+C in the feedback path improve stability and reduce the overshoot?

3.  If I want to drive a 1.0 nF capacitive load on the output of LMP7721, I have to put a series isolation resistor.  What is the minimum value of series isolation resistor required?  (datasheet gives no information about open loop output impedance of the amp)

4.  All of the guarding examples in the datasheet show the guard driven from a different amplifier, not from the LMP7721.  Can the LMP7721 output itself be used to drive the guard trace?  (using some series resistance to isolate the LMP7721 from the capacitance of the guard trace, of course).  Why is this approach not shown in the datasheet?

Thank you, TI.  Other than these concerns it looks like an amazing part.
