LM8261: How about the thetaJC

Hello,

Our customer use the LM8261 with heavy Cap load as 69uF.

A large current flows in output line. So, it may be over temperature at junction of the device.

The customer have a question. How about the thetaJC? 

It is 110 degree at top of the case now.

LF398-N: Negative ouput is limited

Hello,

I supply the device with +15V at V+ and -15V at V-. When using the LF398N device (DIP package) an negative input of at least -10V is being hold at the output, whereas with the LF398M version (SOIC packages) the output is limited to approx. -0.7V. Am I missing something within the datasheet?

INA333: Output Range is not as expected

Hello,

I'm using an INA333 as a load cell amplifier and am not getting the results I expected. From some test measurements, the linear range I am getting is between 0.73 V and 1.85 V, and anything above or below just stays at those values. This is different than what was expected, which is 0.05 V to 3.1 V (see below).

I have the following parameters in my system:

Rg = 100 ohms, V+ = 3.3V, V- = 0V, Vcm = 1.65V, Vref = 0V

I've entered this all into the TI Instrumentation Amplifier Output Voltage vs Common Mode Voltage calculator and the result is below:

Can someone help explain why my output is getting limited? Is there something I'm doing wrong, or does the calculator not match reality for this amplifier?

The INA128 is used to construct a differential amplifier circuit to measure the voltage between cells
  1) INA128UA When the power supply voltage is ± 15V, please inquire whether the voltage of 15V or more can be output by differential in input
    EX) + Input side: 20V, - Input side: If 15V is input, is it the part where 5V differential output can be checked?
  2) INA128IA Power Supply Voltage is between -5V ~ 24V Is the above inquiry part measurable?

2. I saw THD SPEC is 0.004% at Vs=+/-15V ,if I use INA217 on Vs=+/-5V ,THD value will be better ?

I received the reply that the input resistance and capacitance of TLV521 is about 1 teraohm and 15 pf, and it takes some time to give a measured value.  

Could I ask you to give me a measured value of input resistane and input capacitance of TLV521 ?

INA118: simulation with ADS PROBLEM

HELLO everyone,

i got a problem about the  ADS simulation , i download a PSPICE MODEL of theINA118 from TI web, but when i simulate it  there is an error, it write,

'' INA118,S11'' is an instance of undefined model 'spice_vswitch'

so have totally no idea!

if there any opinion that will be so helpful

INA333: current sensing by using INA333 for battery operated device.

Dear respected, 

This is regarding INA333 in-Amp for using current  measuement for battery operated device. Two connections from battery positive terminal connected VIN+ and VIN- of  INA333 with 0.1Ohm resistor. See attached

image for reference. When I am not shorting System GND to INA GND , there is no change in output from INA> 

When I am connecting System GND and INA GND , I can able to detect current sense. But ideally it has to work without connecting system GND and INA GNDs right????? as we are processing differential inputs

What are the risks of not using a buffer.

If yes what are the recommended specs for the buffer?

OPA615: What is the advantage of using OPA615 as a peak detector?

For unipolar peak detection, a fast diode and a small capacitor can do what OPA615 does (see Figure 48 of the data sheets) except that OPA615 can hold the previous sample when the value is sampled by an ADC and the capacitor is discharging or resetting. A pre-OTA is still required for OPA615 input to accept signals form a photo diode. Are there any benefits to use an expensive OPA615? opa128: opa128 photodiode amplifier applications note circuit

Hi,

This question relates to application note sboa061.pdf,  "DESIGNING PHOTODIODE AMPLIFIER CIRCUITS WITH OPA128"

I'm interested to understand the bias part of the photodiode circuit, figure 4.  There is an error in the circuit diagram I think -  the bias supply for the photodiode is currently marked as ground.  Presumably both the resistor and the 0.1uF capacitor are connected to the bias supply?  It should be obvious but I can't quite see the function of the resistor and capacitor, so hesitate to guess (and wonder what value to use for the resistor). 
 Wouldn't  the circuit still function if those components were omitted, and the photodiode connected directly to a bias supply, and also have less noise?

OPAMPEVM-SOT23: How to evaluate the actual accuracy of an ADC?

I just have finished the design of  ADS131a04. The general design is as follows:

I can use the dc source(Source Accuracy at  1mv) to evaluate the ADC.  However, due to the signal source accuracy problem, I can't get the actual accuracy of ADC. just sotp at the mv level.

So tell me, what signal source do you use to evaluate ADC?  please give me the  definite  element or equipment.

 What device is used to measure buffer output?   high precision multimeter? or  oscilloscope?

 Is there some  complete test plan?
