AMC1301: input offset voltage

$

0

Part Number:AMC1301

I have some question about AMC1301 Input offset voltage.(at TA=25C, VINP= VINN= GND1)
Using AMC1301 TINA-TI reference design(www.ti.com/.../sbam271), VOUTP-VOUTN of VINP-VINN = 0 V was measured, resulting in VOUTP-VOUTN ≈ 9.22 mV.
Assuming that there is no mistake in this result, since G = 8.2, the Input offset voltage is 9.22 mV ÷ 8.2 ≈ 1.12 mV.
However, the data sheet has the following description.
(Input offset voltage)
Min.-200 μV
TYP. ± 50 μV
Max. + 200 μV

For the input offset voltage, I think that the simulation result and the data sheet description do not match.
Is my opinion wrong? Could you tell me where is wrong?

Kind regards,

Taka

LMH6514: Question for 200ohm input impedance in datasheet

Part Number:LMH6514

Hi team,

A customer reviews LMH6514 for VGA. The input of VGA will come from other differential Amp or sonar sensor.

-. In datasheet, they see a sentense of "200ohm Input Impedance". Can you explain how to match the impedance from Senor/Amp (for example, 50ohm) to the 200ohm of LMH6514 input?

-. In addition, can you recommend the proper devices for below siganl path? (The condition is to use 5V single supply for Amps and the multiple Amp stages is availabe for over 100dB gain.

      Sensor -> Diff. Amps(THS4551 and ?) -> Filter(standalone device?) -> VGA(LMH6514 and ?) -> ADC(16bit/10Mbps)

Thanks,

Sam Lee

Part Number:AMC1301-Q1

I want to use AMC1301-Q1 to  isolate analog signal. The input range  of AMC1301-Q1 is ±250mV,and fixed-gain is 8.2.  But table 6.1 indicate the range of  VINP   is  (GND1-6) to (VDD1+0.5). Please help me if I can use it  to  isolate analog signal with the  frequency if 10kHz,amplitude is  5V,and   not difference???

INA101: INA101 dying after a few days

Part Number:INA101

Hi,

I'm using a INA101AM for stability & precision reasons in an application to convert a 0-1A current to a 0-10V signal. The current source is floating! Between the inputs there are 20 resistors of 2Ohm in parallel (total 0.1 Ohm) to convert the current. After that there is just the schematic found in the datasheet, set to a gain of 100. Power supply is at +/-15V and supply currents are balanced at ~6mA which is nominal according to the datasheet.

What happens is that at first every thing seems fine and works as expected. The amp case (TO100) does get warm (45C) but from another thread on the INA103 I understandf that this is nothing to worry about.

After a few days the amp seems to die. The first one started to clip at just under 9V. The second one suddenly lost gain and kept working an ~50% of the expected gain. The last one is now clipping at 3.5V.

I had a colleague do the 3rd test setup to avoid any silly mistake I might be making.

Right now: we don't have a clue

Help much appreciated.

AMC1200: ESD Failure

Part Number:AMC1200

Hi team,

My customer has been using AMC1200 in central air conditioner system for bus voltage sensing. Currently they find that AMC1200 is easily damaged when doing -8KV SED testing, while the interface where ESD is injected is far away from AMC1200. The only electrical connection is Ground. AMC1200 is found to have VCC and GND pin shorted togehter.

I'm not familier with ESD testing and wonders in order to pinpoint the root cause where I can start from? Thanks.

ESD is injected as below(PWM drive signal interface)

Hi Team

my customer downloaded INA148-Q1 pspice model from TI.com.

may I get lib file for him to freely set the tolerance for offset and Gain ?

Low Latency Power-Line Communication

Hey there,

I am looking for a low latency power-line communication solution for home automation. Ideally below 50ms per message sent. Would this be possible using narrowband modems or would I have to move towards broadband? Are there any TI solutions that I can look at?

Cheers,
Pramodya

Part Number:AMC1301-Q1

Hi,

How much is the surge tolerance during primary side(GND1) and secondary side(VDD2)?

My customer needs to examine surge tolerance because VINP/N pin are outside on their application.

They'll test discharge in the air(not contact).

Part Number:PGA308

Hello,

Our customer want to use PGA308 witn +/-2.5V(max)input voltage range,

they think this is acceptable to connect GND pin to -5V power supply and connect Vs to 5V power supply.

Is there any problem ?

Thanks,

Part Number:ISO124

Hi team,

The customer is using ISO124.

If VS1 is +15V, -VS1 is connected to GND1, and +VS2 is 15V, -VS2 is -15V, can this be OK?

If it is OK, what is the input  and output voltage range at this situation?

LM2907-N: Temperature sensitivity of frequency to voltage conversion

$

Part Number:LM2907-N

I have built a circuit based on the "minimum component tachometer" diagram on the first page of the spec sheet for the LM2907 freq. to voltage converter. I have observed a strong sensitivity to temperature for this circuit at a fixed input freq. despite the spec. sheet indicating the chip is reasonably insensitive to temperature. I tested this by quickly poitning a hot air gun at the chip and it rapidly drops a couple of voltage on teh output signal. I tried to shield the external components (capacitors) and just heat the chip and it still seems to change? Is there a reason the chip is so sensitive to temperature? In addition to the components in the diagram, I use a 4uF series capacitor and a 1k resistor to ground to "AC couple" the input such that the converter (that requires zero crossings) will work with a square wave that swings 0-12V (never goes below zero). I do not need a very wide operating temperature range (about 30F to 120F). The signal I am converting is 150Hz or lower. The fmax for the components used should be about 1000Hz.

Part Number:LMP91000EVM

I want to build a experimental platform with LMP91000EVM. At first, I decided to go for the mentioned board along with SPIO-4 board. But it seems, it is not possible to build our own custom software tool while using the SPIO-4 board. I want to know what are the different avenues are there to build my own cyclic voltametry platform (both the hardware and software) using LMP91000EVM. Can I build my own software, preferably in .NET framework, using the SPIO-4 board along with LMP91000EVM? Thanks for your support.

ISO124: accuracy calculation

Part Number:ISO124

Hello,

I am calculating the iso amp output error range. Can you advise if the following calculation is correct?

output voltage Vo = (Gain +/- Gain_error + Gain_error_temp)*(Vin +/- Vos)*(1+/- NL). Vos is input offset voltage. NL is nonlinearity.

If the input is 2Vdc, then the max possible output at 85C is ( using ISO124 spec): Vo_max = (1+0.5%+10E-6*(85-25))*(2+0.05)*(1+0.01%) = 2.062 V.

Let's don't consider the Vos temperature variation for now.

Thanks.

LM2907-N: Response time (settling)

$

Part Number:LM2907-N

Hello,

I found out the LM2907 would be an interesting low-cost solution for my audio application (configured as f to v converter), but I first would like to know if the response time can be as short as I need, before I buy it.

Question: Is it possible to choose values for C1, R1 and C2 in order to reach a response time of max. 1 ms?

I assume that the value of Vripple can be heavily affected by this requirement, but I forsee to filter the signal to "clean it up" a little bit from the Vripple.

Thanks and best regards,

Matteo
